Recruiter of the Month of November

Posted on November 3, 2014 in Inside Three Pillars

In Matt’s words…

I admit to being a New Jersey native.  I went to college in Long Island at Hofstra University where I studied Film Production and Writing.  After school I worked at a Digital Production Agency start-up, which was about to take off when I jetted off to Israel for a few years.  There I met my wife, married her, had a baby and returned full-circle to New Jersey.  After a year of free-lance video production I was introduced through a friend to Three Pillars Recruiting.  I thank that friend almost daily for connecting me with the company.  I now work in the Atlanta, GA location and have a great time everyday making connections with people and companies in the industry

What is one goal you would like to accomplish in your lifetime or have accomplished?

I’d like to be taller, but I doubt that’s going to happen.  Honestly, I’m sort of living the dream right now.  Beautiful family, a job in a great and growing industry and, at least for the time being, 100 percent Ebola-free.  My long-term goal in life is to become someone who others can come to for personal help and guidance.

If you could choose an imaginary friend, who would you choose and why?

Am I supposed to invent a character or choose an already existing character to be my friend?  I’m going to go with Olaf from Frozen

If you were a candy bar which would you be and why?

Whatchamacallit.  Are you old enough to remember this candy bar?  Well, it was first introduced in 1978 and it may even still be around.  I chose this candy bar because the ads were awesome. (Click here)

What is your favorite thing about recruiting?

Working near Gavin Frank, senior director of recruiting—he provides limitless comedic material.  That, plus introducing people to opportunities which genuinely compel and excite them.
