Avi Mally has been working in the VC-backed startup scene in NYC for the last 15 years and investing in VC-backed startups for the last 5 years. He’s an investor in a number of high profile startups and successful exists, including MuleSoft (Salesforce), Careem (Uber), PagerDuty (IPO), OpenDNS (Cisco), XTime (Cox), Greenhouse, Kabbage, Hired. He founded Three Pillars Recruiting 11+ years ago, which has emerged as one of the leading firms in the country focused on building innovative and disruptive startups. Three Pillars initially focused on digital media/online advertising and AdTech, and has since expanded its focus to include MarTech and Emerging Tech, as well as the broader consumer space. Prior to Founding Three Pillars, he served as Director of Business Development at AC Lion, an executive search firm focused on digital media. He still holds the record for the highest first-year billing total in the company’s twelve-year history. In 2007, he co-led the launch of the Retained Search Division, where he focused on VP, SVP, and C-level placements. Previously, as Research Manager for Nitron Circle of Experts, subsequently acquired by Evalueserve, he ran the research team, and serviced high profile clients, including hedge funds, venture capital firms, and top-tier investment banks. He graduated with a B.S. in Economics from Rutgers University. He lives in Bergen County with his wife, son, and daughter.
Dan Goldsmith brings 15 years technology and media sales experience, 10 of which have been spent exclusively focused on executive recruiting across the digital media landscape. Dan has had the unique experience recruiting for some highly impactful and cutting edge organizations. Dan started his technology sales career selling enterprise level solutions for numerical computation, visual programming and algorithmic development at The Mathworks. He then built New York’s first Digital Media Sales Recruiting practice at AC Lion where for 10 years he recruited for DoubleClick, Google, OpenX, Pontiflex and many many more. Dan is joining Three Pillars after a year with radical start-up, Narrative Science, where he was bringing rapidly scalable content generation to “AdTech” platforms and content publishers. Dan is a 1993 graduate of The University of Massachusetts at Amherst where he was a dean’s list student and Nationally Ranked “Cat1” cyclist.
If there’s ever been a guy with the gift of gab, it’s Gavin Frank! Gavin started his career as a Director of Recruitment at Aish HaTorah in Manhattan where he supervised a staff of five and coordinated regional programming and one-on-one learning sessions. In 2007, he decided it was time to move back to Atlanta with his family and accepted a role with First NLC Financial Services, an independent mortgage banking company, originating loans in 38 states. In 2010, Gavin landed at Three Pillars and quickly made a name for himself, becoming the highest-billing first-year recruiter in corporate history. Currently, he stands as one of the highest billers in company history. In his current role as Managing Director, Gavin enjoys sharing his industry knowledge with his coworkers and has taken a special interest in becoming an expert in the emerging areas of MarTech and AdTech. Within Three Pillars, he is known as an unrelenting advocate for his clients and candidates and will do anything in his power to represent their interests. A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Gavin is a proud husband and father of three beautiful girls. He graduated with a B.T.L from Beis Yisrael College in Israel.
Amanda started at Three Pillars Recruiting in 2010 and quadrupled her billing in her 2nd year, is consistently one of the top producers every year, and is currently the leading biller in 2020, despite the pandemic. Amanda is a quick read, and there’s rarely a search she can’t fill, and as such, has one of the highest fill ratios in the company. She has a reputation for striking the balance of being honest and transparent on one hand, and aggressive on the other hand, quickly building teams with multiple leaders in the space. Prior to joining Three Pillars Recruiting, Amanda stumbled upon a sales career, starting off at IDT as a Retention Agent for AOL. Remember dialup? She quickly became a recognized star who consistently ranked in the top 5% amongst a massive sales organization, and thrived in a fast-paced environment where few employees even completed their first month of employment! She was later invited directly by the CMO to join the executive team to help bring net new business into the call center. She’s been the proud breadwinner of her family, supporting her husband (and daughter) while he was working on his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, somehow managing to get it all done! Amanda is the proud wife and mother of a beautiful and spunky 6 year old, Miriam. When she is not recruiting, she is coloring or playing with Barbies. She studied psychology at The University of Calgary and attended Neve Yerushalyim in Israel.
